You need to "work backwards" from how much power you use, which is VERY difficult, because once you go to solar, you will find a way to use most of what you produce! I have 300W of panel on the roof, but I have a large 12v paddle fan over the bed, 12v outlets installed throughout (for recharging camera, phones, iPads, etc.), and a 2000W inverter, which runs about everything except the fridge and the A/C. I doubled my battery capacity this season, and I'm now running four 6V golf cart batteries, giving me a total of 460 Ah capacity! That should let me boondock or dry-camp indefinitely, with propane being the energy supply that I run low on first!
