OK, I see the point. I do have a CB between the panels and the battery. That is shut down first. Then the circuit from the battery to the charger is switched off. Without a switch or a CB between the battery and the SCC there isn't a way to turn it off and leave the rest of the system on with my system.
It is correct that the SCC should be powered on before solar panels and solar shut off before cutting power to the SCC.
