Part 1.
My controller has a jumper for wet cell at 14.2 and AGM at 14.6.
There are better controllers available today with secondary load diversions that begin to charge other items when the primary load, house batteries are full. Mine is a 15 year old Hitachi PWM controller that at least has temperature compensation. Our entire solar system could use an upgrade but being that it is installed and working and free, there is no rush other than to add an additional solar panel.
Right now the TC is plugged in and the Boondocker power supply is putting out a maintenance charge of 13.1-13.2 volts. The 60 watt solar panel is putting out 14.6 volts and .3 amps during the winter. During the summer it will climb to 4 amps. Somewhere between 4 watts winter and 52 watts summer.
The batteries are working fine under these conditions. We have the PM-1 batteries too.
