I'm also curious as to why you would need 500. 200W seems to keep the batteries charged if there is sun, if no sun 500W won't either.

One thing to consider is that you or someone will have to get up there to maintain the solar panels and the rest of the roof gear. On my Bigfoot 10.4, between the two 100W panels and all the vents and skylights and whatnot, you have to pick your way around very carefully. 3 more panels and you would need to work on it from a skycrane.

I think you need to do a trip up on the roof to take some measurements, ideally maybe even create some cardboard templates. Also need to watch for shadows, they may fit but but then they may be shadowed.

I fit 3 100W mono's on mine across the front 2 on 1 side and 1 on the other side of the non-centered fan.

I could fit another panel pretty easily but instead decided to add a 100W portable.

I put 400w worth of these panels ( Renogy 100W ) on my Northstar. Considering it's only a 7' wide camper and doesn't have the extended cabover, I'd be surprised if you can't get 500W on a Bigfoot. You may find it easier to use several smaller panels instead of finding the space for larger panels.

For the relatively tiny amount of roof space usable for solar on a TC, a MPPT controller is a must. I would also consider a second controller and a portable panel as well.

I doubt you can achieve 500 watts just on the roof. It might be doable, but with a skylight, vents, and other items casting shadows, it will be tough to do. Adding some portable panels that plug in can help.

I just installed (4) 100 watt panels on our AF. All of them over the bedroom/cab over portion. There is room for another 3-4 farther back. Measure the available areas and have a look at what's available in those sizes. We also have a Bigfoot camper and looking on the roof there is more limited space due to the skylight over the bedroom. Panels come in different sizes and you might have to get creative and mix sizes to get 500 on the roof without racking up and covering vents etc.
