I agree with Soundguy...both. Solar isn't a toy. It efficiently and silently recharges your batteries as soon as light is available without any action on your part. I don't see a theft issue when mounted on the TT's roof but ground/portable is another issue. On my last 21 days out I used the generator once for five minutes only as exercise. Yes, where you live and camp may cut the amount of power produced. If I was concerned about that I'd add more panels...three more on my little TT in the back. Not necessary so far. Again, solar is not a toy.
