You need a class A with doubles endorsement. You can be 75' with both trailers being 28.5' in lenght. If your first trailer is 40' , the already your illegal.
With those and other restrictions such as the DUI limit, it isn't worth the hassle...
Sure it is if he is 75 feet or less and he wants to take both MCs with him . I have towed double in Calif for nearly 30 years
