The problem with a sway bar is it limits suspension articulation. Fine for on the road. Not so good off the road. After breaking a couple links on my OEM Ford rear bar on my 1997 F350. I installed a set of SkyJacker sway bar quick disconnects. Now, when I get off pavement with my TC, I disconnect the swaybar to allow the rear end to articulate in the spring packs. Haven't had an issue with the front bur SkyJacker makes front disconnects as well.
I believe Warn Industries has them as well.
Swaybars are nice but work on the torsion principle so when one drive wheel is higher or lower than the other, the bar transfers the force to the opposite side and if the deflection is acute enough, the link will break.
If you don't run off road, no need for them.
