Other factors are at work here. One tons are banned from certain roads and neighborhoods. Insurance can be tricky with some companies as they will try to insure them at commercial rates.......
insurance and banned roads? Bull.... nonsense... etc. etc.
Where I live, 1 tons under certain circumstances need annual safety inspections, and are not permitted in general to be parked overnight on residential streets. The will also not fit down all alleys, and most drive-thrus. They are also a problem on mini-roundabouts.
And they look stupid, ride rough, and are awkward to drive.
Other than that, they're great.
PS - I drove 3 different new 1 tons for work over a span of 7 years.....
Look stupid? You can't tell a F-250 from a F-350 unless you look at the side at what it says, unless it is dually.
I suspect some sarcasm going on here. I am guessing he knows the 3/4 and one ton have identical dimensions so "The will also not fit down all alleys, and most drive-thrus. They are also a problem on mini-roundabouts" does not apply.
