Sorry for the OP's loss. I hope the insurance covers enough.
This topic has me wondering about our situation.
I live in the country where people aren't close enough to really even see what goes on in my backyard and all of the neighbors are really "mind your own business" types. On one hand, I can leave stuff unlocked and not worry, but I never had anything thieves might want, either. I think I may just invest in on of the GPS tracker systems.
