Sooooo... Do you lock your door?

Well, do you..? when traveling down the road.

When traveling, we're in and out of the camper often. Locks are honest people deterrents, but we do use them when we go in the store, leave the camp site, etc. Never had a door open when we've forgotten to lock them, so just picking the brains of the many out of curiosity.

See, great questions stem from drinking good wine...

  • I did not lock the deadbolt and got flagged that my camper door flap open.
Locksmithing is part of my job and I think those locks are security joke, but they keep adventure thieves away.
  • Yes and deadbolt, and all the cabinets. Primarily to ensure they dont come open. Also 2 cabinets that dont have locks but 2 latches ensure both latches are closed. 2 latches and going thru the motion just less likley to leave a trail along the road.

I'm not too concerned with unauthorized access while on the road, just seen too many doors flapping open-
  • Always have the door locked, while moving and while parked and away from the camper.
  • Yes, I lock the door when we're traveling. And, when we're away from the RV at rest stops, etc..
