2009 the last section of the modern Trans Labrador Highway was opened.
Just this past week Red Bay was named a World Heritage Site, although I saw no mention of Dr. Selma Barkham, who did the research into Basques commercial dealings when Red Bay was an active site to prepare whale oil to sell in Europe.
