Speakers

Congrats on turning 80, many don't make it that far. While I'm far from 80, I'm no electronics wizard either! I think if your radio plays DVDs, it then uses the tv screen, but radio speakers. Just the tv operating, may only allow the sound through the tv speaker.

Have the grand kids explain it/set it up.

Presuming what you want to do is have the television sound play through the radio speakers rather than it's internal speakers plug the television's earphone output into the radio's AUX input. Set the radio to AUX, set it's volume midway, and raise / lower the television volume using it's own remote control.

It may already be connected. Just set the radio to Aux and see if it works.

For my Jensen radio/DVD player, I have to turn it to Aux 3 to get the tv sound to go through the trailer speakers. One mistake I've made was to forget to turn off the external speakers. I was really upset when I discovered the speakers were left on outside late at night. My wife watches tv late. No one complained, but they were just being nice. Only made that mistake once.

I am going to try this in the summer....my kids always ask about putting the TV through the speakers....simple answer yet it always escaped me...I will try the headphone plug into the aux. Thanx!

When I first attempted to play my tv through my rv speakers I thought it was not working. Then I went outside and yes it was working. I only had my outside speakers on . Now I know what those 3 little LED lights are for, speakers A-B-C . (and I'm not even near 80 yet !
I have so much to look forward to in life ) :W
