Speedo correction for larger tires?
When is it necessary to get a speedo correction for larger tires? I went from a 265/75 to a 285/75 both 16 inch. Would the height even change?

So in the good old days when you got pulled over for speeding, you'd get out of the car, come around to the rear bumper,lean against the trunk and have a discussion with the officer.
"I just got these new tires that are a different size, and I haven't had a chance to calibrate them with the speedometer yet. Do you know where there is a good spot on the highway I can do that?"
"Why sure son, there's a spot that's marked on the Interstate about 10 miles west of here. Get that done, and you be careful now."
