springdale TT

I was wondering if anyone owns or knows someone that owns a Springdale 266RLSS TT. I just purchased one and was looking for any tips, pros/cons to this camper. I realize that everyone's likes/dislikes are different, but would like any input I can get.

Thank you
Tony
  • Tony, we have a preowned 2011 Springdale that we bought last spring. Due to some family and health issues we've only had it out once this year, but we really like it. Hoping to make some short trips in-state after the holidays and do some serious traveling next spring. As to "cons", I'd have to say I wish there was more storage space inside, but we've made some modifications to make up for that. After all, nothing is perfect so one learns to adapt. It pulls great and is easy to set up. We bought it from LaMesa RVs and I have to say they did a great job getting it ready to sell and making sure everything works as it should. Shortly after we got it home, the radio would turn itself on, even though the "alarm" and "auto" was off. Called LaMesa and 2 days later we had a whole new radio via Fed Ex...problem solved, no questions asked! Hope your Springdale meets your expectations and you get lots of pleasure from it!
  • We had a 2011 Springdale 267BHSS TT that we traded for our FW in signature. We never had any problems with it, we just desired a FW with a larger living area so we traded. The Springdale was a decent TT though.
  • thanks so much for the inputs. We are pretty excited for next spring and summer. We are sure that we will come up with some ideas to enhance our brand new camper. Thanks again so much for the inputs.
  • Tony,
We have an 08 Springdale 266RLSS and love it. The only thing I had to fix was the flip up counter extension as it just came unscrewed. I glued two strips of oak molding on the back and screwed it down. I only wish the three drawers were of better quality but as long as we're careful they should hold up. so far, we've installed an electric fireplace below the stereo and replaced the tv with a 29" Smart tv. We really like the floor place and for us, it has plenty of storage.
  • Andymon,
thanks so much for your input. We bought a 2014 266rlss. This yr doesn't have a flip up counter. Im not sure if I could add one with the way the counter and drawers are set up. If you think otherwise please let me know. We really would like to maximize our counter space even if it's just for meal prep time. We also would like to maximize our storage space as this could be a full time living TT for a short period of time. Any thoughts & suggestions would be a great help.

thanks for the reply... what did you do to max the storage? I would love any suggestions, and if you have pics that would be awesome.

I'd be happy to take pics of the flip up counter that we have for you. I don't recall what is at the end of the new 266's although I've been on them some time ago. Glad to help in any way. You might also want to check out the Keystone Forum at http://www.keystonerv.org/forums/index.php Lots of good folks there. One thing we've done is, we found four large plastic tubs that fit very nicely under the bed for storage. Great way to stay organized. Right now, I'm just trying to keep the garage organized what with the spring bars, surge protector and everything else!
