- poppin_freshExplorerWhere I live we have snow 10 months out of the year (feels it anyway)
and because of that, I prefer my supercars have AWD.
That means the Nissan is my first choice, but if I had to, I would take the Challenger. I bet both are fun on slick roads! - Fast_MoparExplorer

Wilber, CatfishMontana and Mileshuff,
I was in error. I checked again. Hot Rod's times for the Hellcat with drag radials was 10.8 seconds.
Not sure how I got that mixed up. I'll blame it on brain fade.:B

Les, you are correct, the 10.8 second 1/4 mile was on drag radials. Even so, very impressive. I saw 11.2 on stock tires, still impressive. - LessmoreExplorer II

I must correct you. The Hellcat does the 1/4 in the low 10's...quite a bit quicker than the Nissan....which is around 10.8, 10.9 seconds.
I'm seeing several runs made by various groups. From 10.8 to 11.2 for the Hellcat. Most reports are showing the 11.2 time including Dodge. Nissan reports 10.8 for the GTR. Where did you see official times under 10.8 for the Hellcat?
Motortrend Magazine shows 0-60mph 2.7s for GTR, 3.5s for Hellcat.

Les - catfishmontanaExplorerAnd the viper is set to receive a supercharger now! Makes for one fast clown shoe!
- Bionic_ManExplorerThe GT-R is an amazing car for performance. The overall test reviews that I have read have not been as favorable recently.
And, you are talking somewhere in the neighborhood of $40,000 more for the GT-R vs the Hellcat. So, you could have a Hellcat and 1500 truck (or mid-sized SUV) to drive when the weather is less than the ideal, or you can have a GT-R.
Don't get me wrong, the Nissan is impressive. I would like to drive one myself. But, I'm not sure how many people are likely to cross shop them.
GT-R vs Viper is probably more realistic. - wilber1Explorer

The GTR's AWD gives it a big advantage over a 2wd getting the power to the ground, paricularly 0-60. - mileshuffExplorer

- BurbManExplorer IIIThey should make the black fob user programmable so you can dial it down even further....

707 HP....with the Red fob ignition key. But the black fob key down rates the engine power significantly. It's called the valet key and the one you give to your 16 year old son.
The HP to weight ratio with the red fob, must be tremendous and I understand the 1/4 mile time is in the low 10's @ over 120 mph. Think that's with drag radials.
Now that's performance.
BTW, got my info from Hot Rod magazine.
The black fob still gives you 500+ HP!
