Please post where the Allison 1000 is used in a "true" truck! The Allison 1000 was created for the GM pickups and may have found it way to gas motorhomes. It is not a medium duty truck transmission used behind high torque engines. people that race or pull with Duramax truck tend to put built Dodge 47RE transmission in them.
GM has stayed on the sidelines of the HP and Torque race do to the limits of the current Allison.

Please post where GM has stayed on the sideline due to the Allison tranny! Based on all the pulling tests I've seen the Duramax/Allison performed the best.
BTW... A true medium duty tranny doesn't require it's oil changed every 30k miles. :W
