You are taking 'one' rating out of context with the 'system' that
all TV's are...it is the whole package that matters
Also MTWR is normally derived from a 'curb' vehicle...the stripper model
So unless you are going to order a stripper, that published MTWR is not
the 'true' MTWR for 'that' vehicle
As others have stated...it is only one aspect of towing, that MTWR
The rest of the system has components and sub-systems with their own
'rating' that trumps the MTWR
Like axle ratings, GVWR and GCWR...notice that most all specification
acronyms will have that 'R', which stands for 'rating'
The the real difference between a Single and Dually: EIGHT 10 ply
rated sidewalls vs FOUR. About 10 inches wider track. Both better
man-handles the trailer (either Fiver or Tongued) during the bad days
out there...which is what it is all about...not for the good days
when just about anything 'can do it'
