SRW tows more than DRW!
Quite surprised on this one.. Stopped by dealer the other day (yes I'm 'still' looking at new trucks) and found this out... '13 3500 DRW 4x4 SLT Cummins/G56 and according to the charts it has a LO...

LMAO - yes we have NC and believe me I certainly understand the ratings as well as the pro's/con's and how I took the tow ratings 'out of context'...
My point was simple - out of two new trucks on the lot I was considering the SRW had a higher towing capacity than the DRW. Yes I realize this was 100% due to the transmission but still found it very interesting. Simple facts and comparing these two SLT level trucks, the SRW tows more ;)
And as I mentioned above IF i could afford the $68k Mega Laramie Dually AISIN they have on their lot then I could get a ~24k tow capacity, but I don't need a $700/mo+ payment.
So yes I understand comparing apples and oranges - but the differences are entirely transmission related.
And yes I do enjoy an intelligent debate/discussion :)
