Kinda makes me wonder why they offer a dually with the manual transmission... Higher up front cost, higher maintenance cost, but less payload? Am I understanding this correctly?
Manual is 'free' with the Cummins... The 68RFE is a $500 option and the AISIN is $2650 option.
Dually is a $1200 option with any of the transmissions.
As mentioned above the payloads are greatly increased with DRW's, just not necessarily the Towing limits..
again, or, one more time...ONLY in the one illustration given...a manual with a 3:42...
dually is more stable than a SRW truck on mountainous curvy roads, and again, just speaking from experience of having towed the same 5er with both trucks over the same terrain...
The 2013 Ram 3500 SRW is an awesome truck, it has it's applications and is more than enough truck for a lot of different towing aspects..., it's just with heavier 5er's, I'll with 15,000# and up..the dually, with it's "wider stance" allows for a more stable towing experience on the type of roads I spoke up...guess if you lived in the "flat lands" and drove a straight line, one could go with a 1/2 ton pick up and be done with it....wouldn't be much of a challenge :)
