It should as these people are a danger to others.
really commenting on the SRW idea but agree with you.

chevman - Cummins12V98Explorer III"One downside to the duallies is they eat front tires faster because big truck little tire."
I "PERSONALLY" have to disagree! As mentioned my 6 tires have the same tread depth all around of 1/4" at 30k. I have not touched the 4 rear tires except to air to 35 unloaded and 68 loaded since I am running over my RAWR a bit. I simply rotate the fronts side to side "keeping the rotation the same" and leaving wheels in their location. Think about that one!!!
BIGGIE is to have a proper alignment with toe set to 1/64". I run full 80psi fronts. - Grit_dogNavigatorRegardless of 18s or 20s, the point is, in general, when comparing apples to apples tires, it typically doesn't cost more to shoe a dually with little skinny dually tires than it does for newer OE srw sizes.
One downside to the duallies is they eat front tires faster because big truck little tire. So that's a factor in dually tires. You're buying 2 sets of steering tires per set of drives, similar lifecycle. Similar duty.
Rears last longer though, so maybe a wash. Same duty cycle with 285 section width on the rear vs 470 section width dictates less wear on the rear. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

How many miles do you dually guys get out of a set of tires. I only get 40k miles out of my 20 inch factory Michelins.
Current Michelins at 30k have 1/4" tread left all around. Last set only made it 40k total. I did get a big warranty credit to put towards any tire of my choosing. I went with current tires.
You seem to be asking a lot of DRW questions. :B - rhagfoExplorer III

6 tires cost more than SAME BRAND 4 tires
jeeze this is a tough crowd :)
Sizes based on 2019 Ram 3500... Picked three random tires, from different brands.
TireRack - General Grabber A/TX - LT285/60R20 - $309.99/ea - $1,239.96/set
TireRack - General Grabber A/TX - LT235/80R17 - $172.99/ea - $1,037.94/set
TireRack - BFG AT2 - LT285/60R20 - $393.99/ea - $1,575.96/set
TireRack - BFG AT2 - LT235/80R17 - $197.99/ea - $1,187.94/set
TireRack - Michelin Agilis Crossclimate - LT285/60R20 - $319.99/ea - $1,279.96/set
TireRack - Michelin Agilis Crossclimate - LT235/80R17 - $254.99/ea - $1,529.94/set
For two of the three, it's cheaper to replace tires on the DRW.
Can't help but notice you cherrypicked the most EXPENSIVE tire (20") to compare to the cheapest tire (17"). My 18" tires aren't nearly as expensive as those 20's.
That is because most DRW have 17" tires. - spoon059Explorer II

No, Rams have beautiful HIPs.
As I age my hips are getting so narrow I might have to get suspenders! - Me_AgainExplorer IIIMy OEM Firstone AT did not make 30K. The Michelin Defender LRX M/S have 33-34K and are showing lots of tread left. They should make at least 50-60K. I will measure tread depth later this morning. BTW I have the 18's.
The Defenders have 13.5/32's OEM. I am at 9-10/32's. Chris
