Stabilizer jack nut missing

The end cap nut that you use to crank down the stab jacks is mia. Anyone know where you can get them. A buddy stopped by the rv dealer and they mentioned you have to buy a new jack. It's squared of on the end where the nut goes on and looks like maybe a pin holds it in place

Two of my jacks were mangled, so I cut the ends off and welded on 3/4"nuts. Mine are Balco jacks.

Find a 12 point socket that fits the square.

Probably a better fit with an 8 point socket on a square.

If the end of the shaft has a hole to accommodate a pin, you could buy the correct sized nut and drill the pin hole in the nut.
  • At the end of the threaded rod is a squared off end which the nut slips onto.
  • Could take the jack off and take it to a welding shop and have them weld a nut of the right size on it, but this could cost as much as a new jack.
  • Might be a replace the whole unit...keep the parts though. Repost when your problem is solved so if I have that problem.
