Stabilizer maintenance
What is the best lubricant for the screw part of the stabilizers to keep it free and rust free without accumulating a lot of grime and dirt in the threads?

I made the mistake on a previous TT to oil them with motor oil (I use that for just about everything) but the screw became too slippery then and never held again. No matter how much I tried to clean it up, wash it down, it would slip. So, I've never oiled or lubed another one again (2 TT's later).
