He is right!
I use simple Aluminum Stack Jack on the trailer frame, beside the axle. (rated for 6000lb each btw)
This eliminate the spring/tire factor all together!
You can find it at Walmart under the "Camco 44560 Olympian RV Aluminum Stack Jacks", I paid $50 for 4 stands.
