My Dad had wedges to block his wheels and when I made my homemade wheel chocks (4x4 with readi-rod) for my trailer, I made him a set also. He was not very excited, but gave them a try. He does not even put his stabilizers down now, he is fine with just the wheel chocks and tongue jack. He loves the wheel chocks.
We all have differing situations, but can leverage ideas and what others are doing to get more enjoyment out of our camping experiences.
Our old trailer (26' Terry, no slide) moved more than I liked so I bought the cheap screw jacks at Walmart to brace the frame near the middle and also the steps. Taking alittle movement out was enough for me.
