Stableloads installation problem

I drilled the holes for the lowers on my Ram with a floor jack and a right angle drill. Not an issue.
Took maybe an hour.
Your shop just don't want to mess with it
You mean to tell me they want 724$ to INSTALL them????
Or is that the charge including the lifts??

I'd RUN away for that price. Lower stable loads help, but they certainly aren't an emergency install.

You can buy a super-nice drill and a bunch of expensive high quality bits and drill it yourself and still have hundreds of dollars left.

Sounds like they ordered the wrong Stableloads. When you order you state if your springs are drilled already, or not. Stableload will sell you a drill made just for drilling springs.
Go somewhere else.
I bet Torklift calls you Monday.

Yeah, $723 for labor alone, they doubled their estimate when they couldn’t drill right through (and once they had a deposit for these and for some Bilsteins, which they’ll install on Tuesday). Thanks for the responses - they were just what I suspected they’d be but I didn’t want to get huffy and puffy without being sure. Another problem was that the invoice on the shipment included a drill but there wasn’t one in the box.

Have had bad luck doing my shake-down cruise in Arizona - no Bigfoot dealer and no one, but no one, will take on warranty work during snowbird season unless you bought from them. Tried several Torklift dealers here but they all declined to install Stable Loads, this time of year anyway, one saying lower Stable Loads don’t fit new F350s! Am thinking I should have bought in the PNW and gotten all the warranty work and suspension add-ons during their off-season.

We could not find anyone local to do our lower stableloads. Our dodge did not have the holes drilled and 3 business tried to sell us springs and all kinds of other stuff. Finally got a RV mobile guy to do it. He used up all the bits but we got em installed. Call Torklift again...sometimes it's takes a few days for them to return your call.

It does take lots of muscle to push the drill up and a longer than you’d think time to drill through the leaf, not to mention going through the two bits that came with the wedge packages plus two more. Other problem is keeping drill bit oiled when your’re drilling upside down. A substantional amount of questionable language accompanied the effort as well.
