Welcome to the forum
Suggest you consider based on the number of seat belts needed/desired plus factor
in that your kids will grow (if they are young) and that they might some day
wish to bring buddies (GREAT if they do)
Pets? Big ones that is
Full sized +8K GVWR SUVs will do but they are more expensive than a full sized
van, which is what I wanted but ordered a Suburban because no OEM 4x4 nor
kits that I liked
Look at both the +8K GVWR and +9K GVWR full sized vans
Since you have already decided the 'half ton' is at or overloaded in what you
wish to setup with...the difference in going to the next higher classes is NOT
that much more...think of it this way...how many times do you wish to go through
this up-sizing for your growing family?
Depends on what else you wish to carry that would go into the bed
of a pickup, but the space in the back of my Sub has a plastic liner
with a lip. Ditto a full sized van. Of course there is a difference,
but decide on the comfort of the people vs the cargo. Can some of that
stuff go in the trailer?
