We often Camp-N-Go while traveling to our destination. I have never unplugged from the TV, even with shore power, though some folks do.
Obviously, we try to find a pull-through but I have at times just backed deeper into the campsite to take the TV off the campground road.
We do not drop the stabilizer jacks, though you can. The WD hitch adds a certain amount of stability. We have at time slept backwards in the bed because the camp site did not lend itself to having our heads above our feet when we slept.
Out West we did find a few campground with no hook-up, so we just boon docked for the night. It least it was cheap. :) :)
