Not all steering stabilizers are equal. I added mine at 3K miles just to be safe. I didn't get around to going in for the recall when I read a "NEW" recall is coming. I'm now at 110k miles. Still tight and straight. I'm still on my factory brake pads with over half the brake pad remaining.
