Steering wheel angle while towing

I recently went back to P rated tires, hoping to improve gas mileage. It didn't work, but it did cause some floaty wandering similar to what you describe. Now I'm careful to inflate them fully before towing, with much better results. The next tires will be LTs for sure, but they'll have to wait till I wear these out.

My Equal-I-zer has had nylon pads on the L brackets for years. I keep the hitch head greased where the bars pivot too. My Equal-I-zer experience has been completely positive since I bought it 10 years ago.
