- ShavanoExplorerYes. It was deleted because it deteriorated into bashing. Let's make sure this one doesn't follow it.
- BarneySExplorer IIII am not the one who deleted it but, after looking in the delete file, I can see why it was gone. The thread immediately deteriorated into a Canada, gun bashing thread and was going nowhere. I would have deleted it also had it been in one of my forums.
Myredracer,
The serial number of my trailer is stamped into the top of the A frame on the drivers side.

Yes they are; unfortunately, you can't receive valid title from a thief.
Ah. But u can. The thief can play the system and get a title from a different state or country. Using forged docs or tampered vin. Once legal its sold across state lines. The victim has a valid title but on stolen property. Then revoked. - SplinterFLExplorer

My thoughts also. They are out the money and the RV.
Yes they are; unfortunately, you can't receive valid title from a thief. - SplinterFLExplorerOne of the articles stated a tailer was missing for 3 years. Not sure on the ID's... I'd assume there is a serial on the base frame or axle (or main support near the axle). And then stickers for the body.
I know mine has a few ID numbers from the title, perhaps we should put it on the neck of the hitch..or go the extreame of new cars and have it etched on every window. - myredracerExplorer IIMaybe the Edmonton article I posted this morning got deleted because there is something nefarious going on here, lol? Maybe we shouldn't be posting what we have...
Motorhomes would be different, but to ask a dumb question, where are serial numbers on a towable? Are they only on stickers or is is permanently stamped into something somewhere? Never gave it a thought before. - 2112Explorer II

I thought the same until I realized this was written on January 13 2010. Unless I missed it the article doesn't specificity state how long it took them to locate the vehicle.

Normand said this isn't the first time police have seen such a crime, but these thefts are among the largest."
What a mess for the innocent people.
