I understand your frustration. I pulled into a station once, really excited because I had some rewards points for .30/gallon off. Saved about $7.00 filling the tank. Spent 15 minutes waiting in line to get the pump I could use (32 ft TT w pickup puts me at 53 ft). Then another 15 minutes clearing traffic so I could back out. What a mistake! I now take the longer view that my time is worth more than I saved. If I have the trailer I dont pull in without an exit plan. I will pay more formthe convenience of getting in and out. With all of that being said, check Loves and Flying J truck stops. They usually have RV lanes with gas and diesel, plus a dicount with the good sam card. It just takes a little foresight and planning.
