I usually look for grocery store stations. They seem to have better access. I especially like Costco because their pumps are usually aligned so I can fill the truck with the front pump and the toy hauler with the back one at the same time. That said, there have been a couple of stations that were absolute pains (Costco in Tumwater and Safeway in Woodland WA), but in general they're good.
I absolutely agree with using Google streetview. That's saved me a few times.
What I try to avoid is older stations in small towns. Usually stations near major roads are acceptable. In an absolute pinch, I can fill from the toy hauler, but I would have to unhook and move behind it because the hose is so short.
