We used to have the same problem and we used cradles with casters on them that are used for moving cars around inside a shop. Took the wheels off and let the brake drum/hub sit right in the cradle. Then used an old Massey Ferguson to maneuver it. It was kind of a pain but when used just for the winter its all right
I considered this too, but there is a drop off into dirt where the wheels will sit that prevent this from being viable, I dont think they would work on plywood either. Now if I can find those cradles tow trucks use.....
