One of the reasons they up-dated the valves in propane tanks a few years ago was to limit the amount of propane that could be put into the tank. It forces the person filling the tank to leave a place for the liquid propane to expand to if the temperature rises. If you happen to have a full tank with the old style valve do not store it inside as it can blow propane past its spring loaded safety,fill a confined area with propane and could result in a violent explosion with any ignition source like a light switch being turned on. Always carefully check any tank that contains compressed flammable gas for leaks before storing in a confined space.
