Storing your WDH spring bars

I was wondering .... where do RVers on this forum store their spring bars when not in use? I have been keeping them on the concrete floor in the garage and when set up at camp I lay them on the ground either under the RV or as weights on our outdoor rug. Storing them in the RV is not convenient (at least so far).

I am concerned about scratching them up unnecessarily and asked the DW to make some long storage bags out of vinyl. Does anyone know of these (or some substitute) are sold anywhere?

    I store both the bars and the hitch head in the "basement" of the trailer. Just lay 'em on the floor.

    We've been using the gun case idea for about 6 years now. Works well. We keep them in the truck bed when unhitched in campsites, and at home when not out camping.

    I like the gun case idea. :C
    But, now that I have some decent front storage, I plan on attaching some brackets to the aluminum framing in the top of the storage area and slide the Equal-i-zer bars in there. I had just be laying them on the a-frame behind the propane tanks when I had my Roo.

    The bags are a good idea…
    A friend of mine stores his in a hard long gun case… that seems to work very well for him…

    I put them in the pass-through storage in my trailer. I never leave them outside or under the trailer when camping or at home. If you have no storage, perhaps you could take a 6 or 8 inch (diameter) section of PVC pipe, cap off both ends and attach to the underside of your tongue to store them in.
