My apologies to the forum if i seem new to the rving community, i am. My job is dissolving the end of may, and i do plan to go to oregon and spend some time with my kids. I have a small budget and thought getting a 5th wheel would be the way to go, but im in over my head.
Im my area, im limited in my choices of vehicles. This truck came available at a good price and i jumped on it. I thought i had done my research but it seems i didnt dig deep enough.
Right now my issue is with tires. I have old transforces that need replacing. I knew i would need a new set of tires but was shocked when i got stuck in wet grass.
So, im stuck with the wrong truck apparently. Its been a struggle so far. I also need another battery, shifter cable adjustment, new speakers, new drivers side window/mirror switch, probably a gizmo so my trailer lights work right (not sure about that yet), need to see if the previously installed brake controller works, and, finish installing the used 5th wheel hitch in the holes the previous owner drilled.
And i havent even purchased the trailer. Lol i must be nuts....
