Maybe in flat Florida A 6.0 will deliver acceptable performance. Even in MD as long as you don't head west the 6.0 maybe adequate. However towing in western MD and into WV and some some areas of PA where the hills are quite steep and the terrain is not flat I prefer more than a 6.0 gasser.
Nevertheless I guess the 6.0 gasser is an option and acceptable for some, but for my needs and demands the 6.0 is not sufficient.
6.0, 6 speed and 4.10 geared here. 9K isn't unusual for me to tow either. Been thru the hills of Missouri, Arkansas, Tenn and South Carolina with no issues and power to spare. I've been behind the wheels of diesels, big blocks, Hemis, Cummins, Dmax etc for work and for travel, so I have plenty to compare the 6.0 to. As I mentioned to another poster who felt their 6.0 spinning 3k had no power, if you performance pulling 9k with your 6.0 is subpar, the vehicle needs to go to a mechanic.
