The Excursion does have the driveline of a 3/4 Super Duty but lacks the spring capacity. It has lesser rated springs for a more softer ride (which I like) but it does cut its payload and tow rating to less than a 3/4 ton. Now add a diesel engine up front and that further cuts into the payload.
