GM did extensive market research when the Excursion came out - the biggest item to come out of the market research was that people didn't want a bigger SUV. All research told them the Suburban was big enough. So-if that is the case how many would have wanted a diesel?
We all know how long the Excursion lasted.
Calendar Year Total American sales
1999 18,315
2000 50,786
2001 34,710
2002 29,042
2003 26,259
