Thing is, your post doesn't mention anything about control issues. In fact you've been kind of vague about the whole thing.
Can you write a better description of what you're experiencing? Getting a "jolt" from a pothole is pretty normal. DRW truck suspensions are orders of magnitude more rigid than a Tundra's, so roads are going to feel 10X rougher.
Is the truck wandering, swaying, pulling to one side? Steering wheel shaking? What's going on?
Unfortunately 2WD trucks don't suffer from death wobble because the front suspensions are completely different.
