I'm at 7200 lbs with the 5.7 and it knows it's there. Pulls great and has plenty of power but it definitely knows the trailer is there. I wouldn't tow this weight with the 4.6. Similar power to the GM 5.3 I used to have which towed OK but struggled more with headwinds and in the mountains.
It was a figure of speech. You will always know a trailer is there no matter what the weight, but the difference in feeling it between the 4.6 and 5.7 is night and day.
