For those wondering about the jump from 1st to 2nd;
I have a 18 F150 with 10sp and in normal mode the trans almost always skips 2nd and 4th gears during upshift. Under normal throttle conditions its not an issue. I don't recall what it does at WOT. Usually if Im WOT driving Im in sport mode. Sport and tow haul modes hit every gear every time.
The 10sp is a nice tranny and with the 3.5 it does not shift often or easy at all, under normal driving. If Im towing "heavier" ( 6k is about the heaviest so far) I lock out the upper gears because Im not a fan of high boost low rpm situations. I keep the rpm around 2000-2400. Doesn't shift to often IMO then either. Not that shifting bother me.
I will say I like the FCA 8sp trans programming better....
