Were those old trucks running roots blowers that came off a Detroit 2-stroke?
The fastlane F250 uses a centrifugal blower, essentially a belt driven turbo. They're much more efficient. I wonder if the 7.3 uses the same transmission as the diesel, that'll tell us how much reserve it has.
