T- handels hard to push or pull for gray & black water

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to lube up T handle valves for the gray & black water , the valves are a bit sticky on opening & closing, TT is still fairly new and waste system has always been flushed after every outing, WD-40 maybe ???? Cheers Denny

Yep, I've used Boeshield T9 for years. Good stuff. In my shop, I rub it on the ways of the lathe, and on the bed of the milling machine, drill press, etc, and it keeps rust away totally for months on end if I am not using the machines.

  • Thanks folks , tried the lube from home depot , definitely freed them up cheers Denny
  • Denny go to home depot and buy a can of Jig a Loo which is only available in Canada. it is bright orange. A dry lubricant. worked great for me.
  • one thing I have done to all my TT's is drill a small hole over the area where the rod slides within the valve body and insert a grease zert. then use any type of grease to lube the rod. mine open and close with one finger.
  • dry spray of sorts wont attract dirt there are several different kinds for guns and fishing reels.
