I am curious if you have actually looked at both an Expedition and Suburban/Yukon yet? In my opinion, the interior of the GM twins is way ahead of the Ford.
I have driven the Expedition EL with the 3.5. It is more pleasant to drive than the GM 5.3, but due to the better interior, I would still choose the GM. My suggestion would be to find one with the 6.2, and you would have the best of both worlds.
