I completely disagree. As stated above, the third row for the Expedition is head and shoulders way better due to Ford's rear independent suspension. Large adults can comfortably sit in the rear for the Ford.
I suggest that you test drive each one. Three years ago I was in your position and originally we planned on purchasing a Tahoe until we test drove both. After realizing that we needed a third row for growing kids, the Expedition was way better in the rear. I think if you test drive them your decision will be made. I test drove a 2015 Expedition with the eco-boost and it's a rocket ship. I really want to upgrade to a newer model EL but I'm not willing to start payments over since the 13 is almost paid off.
