Have you actually tried showering in your new trailer? I sure would do that first before I dropped $500-$1000 in a new water heater.
We have a 10 gal. water heater in our new trailer, but got by nicely with a 6 gal. unit in previous rigs....navy showers.
Anyway, good luck with it and your planned mods.
