Taylor Coach?

Has anyone ever seen and checked out a Taylor Coach? We have been admiring them online for some time yet have never even seen one in passing and we have been around the RV world for some time. It just seems that they are more solid and they have been in business for many years. I also like the simplicity of their units without all the overdone graphics that peel and look dated not to mention that you can get what you need and want rather than something designed by people that never camp, the owner of the company actually camps!

  • After checking out his videos on You Tube it looks almost like he could build you one to order. He has a lot of different ones he has built. Kinda looks like a guy with a few employees building TT in a small shop. Nothing wrong with that. That is how Lindberg had his plane built to cross the Atlantic.
  • Web site doesn't show much. I would have to see one in person. But, I agree that I would rather have a well built TT as opposed to one that is just a lot of graphics.
  • Check out the livin lite rv's. All aluminium and light weight
  • No, he doesn't look Amish, I grew up in their neighborhood and that isn't the look. I know there is some extra expense involved with bringing a trailer into the US from Canada. The units run a lot lighter which I think but haven't checked out is due to not using what I call "gluey board" called by other names like OSB, the stuff that gets wet, expands and falls apart (we have owned a few RVs)and not using the fiberglass siding which can delam over time. He has several youtube videos with different models and showing one being put together in "fast time". We just want something that will last and will still be light/smallish.
  • It's straight-forward (people that live near the border cross for purchases regularly). You have to pay import duties, and tax in your state.

I'm not looking for a trailer, but have also been intrigued by this company. I've never seen one in person though, in the US or Canada.
  • evidently a Canadian company. don't know how that would work? founder looks Amish?
