How many out there use a side by side or 4 wheeler for fun while camping? just doing some expensive thinking. We already have a trailer so seems like a good idea with a national forest close with easy...

I had an XP1k with an open trailer and currently have an ACE 900 with a longer, 6x12 open trailer.
I think it really depends upon what you're planning on doing with it.
If just local rides to staging areas, then Small open would be ideal.
If planning on traveling/Camping/riding around the states then I would get an enclosed one, mainly to haul extra gear and keep it secured.
Typically, locally, you're either in the truck or riding the buggy, so pretty much safe/secure. Overnighters/traveling or leaving at other locations might be a problem, but more like hauling additional stuff, gas, tools, tires etc and other toys which, heheh, will tend to fill up the empty spaces..
I'm full time and if I get another buggy, the trailer will be enclosed for the above reasons.
If I were pretty much stationary, then open. I've use the open trailer without any problems, I did get the Buggy covers which helps keep the roof on and dust/rocks from hitting it. A rock did hit the mirror and broke it so if an open trailer, I'd get the Cover too...
