Lol....not to bad really. I have a 20ft aluminum car trailer. I can put the rzr on sideways and the ski and motorcycle will still fit :)

In all my years of camping, I've always had a firearm with me. I'm not paranoid but I do believe in self protection from wild animals of the 4 and 2 legged kind.

I'm not about to play a role in any 'Deliverance' scenario. you see, I typically truck camp in very remote and inacessable areas.

I find people have a much more respectful attitude in the presence of a person carrying, especially when that someone is open carrying... unless they are just stupid.

Besides an enclosed and locked trailer is a magnet for someone with malicious intent where as an open utility trailer with a quad on it presents no or little challenge for someone with criminal intent (so long as the ignition keys are in your pocket and not in the quad....

Sidecarflip, you might be misunderstanding the Respectful Attitude vibe.

Like others have noted, enclosed and closed trailers and I have both and I like both! To be honest the open trailer is just a hoot in loading and unloading and go! But the issues of leaving things behind on the open trailer, i.e., Gas cans, coolers, tools and the like are not as secured. With an enclosed trailer you have the security of locking things up and the road grime in route to your destination, no matter what you put on them during use, is a pain when you arrive.

I agree, if you are going to use for day use, an open trailer and security box suits the need for many. But for my use, long trippers and vacation travel an enclosed trailer might be the ticket. But with that you will have more resistance in towing an enclosed trailer because of added weight, wind loading and the tendency to fill up the spaces with more stuff.

Mine is 20x8 allowing us to take two toys or even an automobile since I opted for the 10k lb rating and torsion axles.

Well we got our RZR and are enjoying it here in the desert of southwest AZ. We haven't purchased a trailer yet as we continue to consider whether we want an enclosed or open trailer. I did use an open trailer the other day and thought that had it been enclosed I wouldn't have had much room to get in or out of the RZR. For those with enclosed trailers with SXS what width trailer do you have and is it hard getting in and out?

in my 7x14 trailer I will have one or both of these.

my winegard Pathway X2 on my own creation of a mount on roof rack. this allows me to use Eastern Arch of DishNetwork. yes I remove it from roof for travel.

My off highway habit lead me to my RV habit. Toy of choice right now is a Polaris rzr s 800.

I have a Northern Lite on order, for delivery in the Spring.

Most of the time, I expect to be towing my drift boat. From time to time, I'll probably take my Polaris Ranger instead.

From Florida? I've had ATV's for use on hunting property. We don't have a lot of public land near me in Texas for ATV use. I would think if you go west regularly you could justify it. I'm kinda thinking about a Honda 200 dual sport bike to legally putz around on old logging trails out west and around my little hometown. Tough to justify $5-6000 for that very limited use for me though.
